He realized that he loves makeup and wants to do makeup professionally and not just as a hobby when his friend once asked him to do her makeup.

His parents were supportive when he told them that he wants to be a makeup artist, his father being a contractor turned his office into a makeup room for James to pursue his passion for makeup.
